200-Hour & 300-Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Mysore

The Ashtanga yoga teacher training course at Sachidananda Yoga Shala is a one-month intensive in Gokulam, Mysore — one of the few places in the world where traditional Ashtanga yoga is still taught the way it was meant to be learned. Built on the Gurukula model, the program places you directly with your teacher for daily practice, personalized instruction, and the kind of depth that a classroom curriculum cannot replicate. Students leave with a strong personal practice, clear teaching skills, and a real understanding of the Ashtanga system from the inside.

The TTC is led by a dedicated faculty of experienced teachers, each bringing deep expertise in their subject:

GENERAL SCHEDULE

The 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher training runs for four weeks, six days a week — Sundays off, as well as new moon and full moon days in the traditional Ashtanga calendar.

Each week combines daily Mysore-style Ashtanga practice with sessions in pranayama, philosophy, anatomy, and Ayurveda. In the final weeks, TTC students teach the Primary Series under Chidananda’s direct supervision — developing real classroom confidence before they leave Mysore.

On completion, students receive a certificate from Sachidananda Ashtanga Yoga Shala.
